Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) helps protect ISNS customers, the ISNS network, and the broader internet from unlawful, abusive, insecure, or disruptive activity. It applies to all use of ISNS internet service and related network resources.
Lawful use
You may use ISNS service for lawful internet access and ordinary personal or business activity consistent with your service arrangement. You are responsible for activity originating from your account, network, connected devices, and credentials.
Prohibited activity
You may not knowingly use ISNS service to:
- Violate applicable law or facilitate criminal activity.
- Gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, networks, or data.
- Distribute malware, ransomware, botnet traffic, malicious code, or other harmful material.
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks, scanning, exploitation, credential attacks, or similar hostile activity.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, phishing, fraudulent communications, or messaging that violates applicable anti-spam or telecommunications rules.
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
- Interfere materially with the operation, security, or reliability of the ISNS network or the service of other customers.
- Resell or redistribute ISNS service as a commercial internet service without written authorization from ISNS.
No data caps
No fixed monthly allowance
ISNS plans do not impose a fixed monthly data cap. “No data caps” does not authorize unlawful, malicious, security-threatening, or materially disruptive activity and does not waive the speed limits of the selected service tier.
Network and device security
Customers should use reasonable security practices, including protecting Wi-Fi and account credentials, keeping devices updated, and preventing unauthorized use. If compromised customer equipment causes harmful traffic or creates an immediate security risk, ISNS may take reasonable protective action while the issue is investigated or corrected.
Managed equipment
Customers should not alter or interfere with ISNS-managed radios, networking equipment, configuration, cabling, or power components in a manner that may impair service, security, or network performance.
Enforcement
ISNS may investigate suspected violations and, where reasonably necessary, warn the customer, require corrective action, restrict harmful traffic, suspend service, or terminate service for serious or repeated violations. ISNS may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities as required by applicable law.
Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse involving the ISNS network, contact isns@fccpu.com with enough information for the issue to be investigated.
Changes
ISNS may update this AUP as technology, threats, services, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page.
